Most job boards are a search bar in front of a pile of listings. This one is a search bar in front of a list of labs, which is the more useful pile.

If you know the big names, you already know where to look. The fun is in the long tail: the labs you've never heard of, hiring for things you didn't know existed. A lab never shows up in a normal job feed unless it pays to, so I went and collected them myself.

## **What I'm trying to do**

Put every open role at every AI lab in one search, then send you straight to the lab's own application page. No middlemen, no "Quick Apply" button, which is just a fancy way of saying they'll hold your CV for later.

## **Who we track**

Labs of every kind: frontier labs, Big Tech AI, research institutes, infrastructure, applied AI, robotics, defense, bio and science, and quant finance. [The Labs page](https://workatailab.com/labs?ref=workatailab.com#kinds) explains what counts as one.

Each lab has one connector to its job board: Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable, or a custom page. The custom ones are the fun ones. Some just need a plain HTTP fetch, others need a headless browser to render the page first, and an LLM fills in the fields for each new job.

I track English-language roles only. A lab comes on board when most of its open roles are in English, and any posting that's at least 75% non-English never gets stored.

### **Who we don't track**

- Postings that are mostly in another language
- Labs whose open roles are mostly in another language

## **Why it's built this way**

- **Labs are the unit of coverage.** Coverage grows by onboarding labs, and the site shows what's actually being checked, not the roadmap.
- **A failed fetch closes nothing.** A job only closes when a successful run stops listing it. A broken connector would otherwise look like a mass layoff, and that's a bug nobody wants.
- **Freshness is shown, not assumed.** The homepage tells you when the boards were last swept.
- **Applications go to the source.** Every job links to the lab's own application page, so you apply where the job lives.

This is an early version with a lot of labs still to add. If you hit one I should be tracking, [tell me](https://workatailab.com/labs/suggest?ref=workatailab.com). For the story behind it, read [Why I launched Work at AI Lab](https://blog.tugulab.org/posts/why-i-launched-work-at-ai-lab?ref=workatailab.com).

Good hunting, and bring me a lab I've never heard of.
