Ideal candidate
Hands-on manufacturing engineer with 7+ years scaling liquid cooling hardware who thrives at suppliers and on production lines. You care about reliability, yield and driving designs from prototype to mass production for frontier AI systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years in manufacturing, process, or thermal systems manufacturing with hands-on liquid cold plate or heat exchanger production
- Expertise in 2+ cold plate processes: skiving, vacuum brazing, friction stir welding, diffusion bonding, gun drilling, or extrusion
- Strong understanding of aluminum and copper alloys, braze alloy selection, and metallurgical failure modes
- Experience qualifying cold plate manufacturers and running Cpk and GR&R studies for leak, flatness, pressure drop, thermal resistance
- Hands-on experience with helium leak testing, hydrostatic pressure testing, flow/pressure-drop characterization, flatness measurement
- Experience with DFM/DFY reviews for cold plate and liquid cooling designs
- Track record driving root cause and corrective action for cold plate defects in production
- Experience working directly with contract manufacturers and thermal suppliers, preferably in Asia
- Familiarity with system-level liquid cooling architectures including single-loop, CDU-based, and direct liquid cooling
- Strong documentation skills: PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, first-article inspection reports
- Bachelor's in Mechanical, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
- Prior experience in server, HPC, datacenter, or power electronics thermal management strongly preferred
