Requirements

• JD from reputable law school and admission to at least one state bar and USPTO
• Minimum 5-8 years patent law experience with biotechnology inventions, preferably in-house and law firm mix
• Advanced degree in biology, biochemistry or similar strongly preferred
• Direct experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications and managing global portfolios for biologic therapeutics
• Experience with patentability, freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses
• IP transaction experience including due diligence and licensing, collaboration and sponsored research agreements
• Experience managing outside counsel and related budgets
• Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills with practical advisory ability
