Requirements

• Experience with ingestion tooling (Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar) and judgment on when to buy vs build
• Strong fluency with workflow orchestration — Temporal, Airflow, Dagster, or similar — operated at scale
• Strong programming skills in Python and advanced SQL
• Experience building frameworks or internal tooling used by other engineers
• Practical experience with data quality, observability, lineage, and schema evolution without downtime
• Working knowledge of data governance in regulated environments: PII, masking, access control, retention, residency
• Familiarity with cloud data services (Azure, AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and defining scope where none exists
