Requirements

• Experience operating PostgreSQL at fleet scale across regions and availability zones
• Expertise in replication topologies, failover automation, and consistency trade-offs
• Deep fluency with database observability using Datadog, pganalyze, or custom instrumentation
• Track record leading zero-downtime major version upgrades or sharding initiatives
• Proficiency with cloud database services and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Pulumi
• Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams via RFCs and standards
• Clear communication with both executive leadership and junior engineers
