Requirements

• Proven track record building and operating backend services on JVM with Kotlin or Java
• Solid knowledge of relational databases including transactions, isolation, locking, indexing and live migrations
• Deep understanding of distributed systems patterns like idempotency, retries, eventual consistency and reconciliation
• Experience with live data migrations without downtime using feature flags and staged rollouts
• Experience designing versioned, backward-compatible APIs for other engineering teams
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
