Senior Mechanical Engineer- Robot Head

Highlights

Ideal candidate

Hands-on mechanical owner with 5+ years packaging dense electromechanical products who thrives at the ID-perception intersection and cares about precision, mass discipline, and robots people interact with.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
• 5+ years mechanical design of complex electromechanical products
• Experience packaging sensors, cameras or dense electronics in constrained envelopes
• Command of mass properties analysis and mass/CG budgets
• Experience with precision optical/sensor mounting, alignment and tolerance analysis
• Expert CAD proficiency for complex part and assembly design
• Experience translating ID surfaces into manufacturable, serviceable architectures
• Familiarity with machining, molding, die casting, sheet metal and DFM
• Hands-on prototyping, testing and troubleshooting
• Ability to drive requirements across mechanical, electrical, software and design
