Lead Forward Deployed Engineer – Migration

Ideal candidate

A customer-facing data architect with 8+ years experience who thrives leading complex migrations. Low-ego, AI-curious collaborator energized by solving high-impact problems onsite with customers across ANZ.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing or database architecture, including customer-facing consulting or delivery work
• Hands-on experience leading at least one large data warehouse or database migration to a cloud data platform
• Deep SQL skills and strong knowledge of data modeling, performance tuning and data warehouse design
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Talend, dbt or similar, and with orchestration and pipeline design
• Programming experience in Python, Java or Scala
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)
• Clear communication with technical teams and business stakeholders, including leading workshops and presenting recommendations
• Ability to travel to customer sites within Australia and New Zealand as needed
