A mission-driven backend engineer with 4+ years building resilient data systems who thrives on unreliable real-world sources and partnering with operational users to deliver timely, trustworthy data.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience including production web scraping, data ingestion, ETL, or third-party integrations
• Write production software in Python and familiar with relational databases and API design
• Maintain data quality across large, changing datasets
• Designed systems that tolerate upstream failures and changing external interfaces
• Make thoughtful tradeoffs among reliability, scalability, performance, maintainability, and cost
• Communicate technical decisions clearly and work well across engineering, product, and mission teams
• U.S. Person status is required with ability to obtain a security clearance
